The Destiny® Mastercard® is a good card for anyone who has bad credit or has gone through bankruptcy and wants to improve their creditworthiness. It's an unsecured card that doesn't require a deposit, and even if your credit score is in the 300s (the lowest possible score), your application may qualify.

You'll need to pay an annual fee for the privilege, between $59-$99 each year, and the APR is high at 24.9% with a fixed 29.9% fixed penalty APR. The card doesn't offer a reward program or introductory bonus and doesn't allow you to make balance transfers.

However, you do get free identity theft protection and zero liability protection. You'll also be able to get a cash advance during the first year without incurring any fees.

You can apply to be pre-qualified for the card without incurring a credit hit. To be approved, you will need to:

  • Be at least 18 years old (19 in AL), have a valid Social Security Number, a physical address, and a U.S. IP address.
  • Not have had a Destiny® Mastercard® account charged off due to delinquency.
  • Have met "additional credit qualification criteria, including a review of your income and your debt, and identity verification requirements."

This card is issued by First Electronic Bank, FDIC#35533. The bank has been in business since October 2000 and is a State Charter Bank, not a member of the Federal Reserve System (FRS).

The Destiny® Mastercard® is the brainchild of and serviced by Genesis FS Card Services, Inc., a company that "believe[s] that everyone deserves the opportunity to receive quality credit financing. [They] specialize in "second-look financing" for consumers who are turned down by a prime lender, yet are still valuable consumers who deserve access to finances."

Genesis Card is the "largest provider in the near-prime financial services space," having originated $6 Billion in assets to date and processing 12 Million applications annually. The company has earned a B rating from the Better Business Bureau.

Destiny Credit Card Pre-Qualification

The information you'll need for this includes:

  • Your name
  • Your address
  • Your email
  • Your phone number
  • Your date of birth (MM/DD/YYYY)
  • Your Social Security number

The "annual fee that you pre-qualify for will be determined based on our review of your credit profile. You'll have time to fully review all the terms and conditions of your offer before you apply."

Destiny Credit Card Online Account Registration

Simply register your account by filling in the following fields with:

  • Your card number
  • Your date of birth (MM/DD/YYYY)
  • Your Social Security number

You'll then be prompted to "Continue to Next Step."

Once you have an account set up, you can access your account with a secure login by entering your username and password.

Once you've logged in to your account, you can:

  • View your balance, transactions, and statements
  • Make or schedule a payment 24 hours a day, 365 days a year
  • Have confidence in their fast and secure system

If you've forgotten your password, you can easily request a reset.

Destiny Credit Card Password Reset

All you'll need is to provide the following information:

  • Your user name
  • The last four digits of your credit card
  • Your date of birth (MM/DD/YYYY)
  • Your Social Security number

If you've forgotten your username, you can just as easily request a reminder.

  • Your 16-digit account number

You can set up automatic payments through your online account:

  • Go to the Payment section on the account's home page, where you'll be able to select the automatic payments feature.
  • Input your bank account routing number and your account number. This will determine the checking or savings account from which Destiny will take your payment every month.

Currently, the Destiny® Mastercard® does not have a mobile app.
